Big Vision Winter Challenge
This December, January, and February; we are embarking on our Big Vision Winter Challenge. In order to see our Big Vision of reaching this city for Christ realized, it is going to take all-hands-on-deck! We believe that when everyone is involved in the ministries of their local church, and are giving God their first and their best, that God will in return give them His best for their lives.
We are asking all of our attenders to seek first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and to watch as ‘all of these things’ are added to you.
So we are challenging all of those who regularly attend Fellowship Church to make big commitments in four separate areas this winter:
1. Big Attendance- We challenge all of you to attend Fellowship each weekend you’re in town for the next three months. In order to grow momentum and sustain it, we first have to have it. Having a packed out house at all of our services generates excitement and means that we need to make more space for more people to encounter Christ through the ministries of our church.
2. Big Serve- We challenge all who attend Fellowship Church to be actively involved in serving within a ministry over the next three months. There are lots of ways to get involved, so keep an eye on the “In the Loop” section of your program, our weekly video announcements, Facebook, or www.fellowshipsalem.com.
3. Big Gift- We challenge all of our attenders to bring a sacrificial offering to the Lord this Christmas above and beyond your regular tithes and giving. We will be holding a special Christmas offering on December the 24th and the 25th. All offerings given into this special offering will go into the general funds of Fellowship Church to help us get out of debt and to be prepared for an exciting year of ministry in 2012.
4. Big Give- Lastly we challenge you to begin tithing 10% of your monthly gross income to your local church. If we want to experience God’s blessings in our finances, then we must be faithful to Him in the giving of tithes and offerings. The Bible says that we are robing Gob by not paying tithes, and that we are under a curse for not doing so, as well. His Word says that if we do put Him first in our finances, that the windows of heaven will poor down abundant blessings upon us.
So if you’re not currently tithing a Biblical 10% of your income, start doing so now. Try it out for the next 3 months and see what God does. If you live up to all 4 of these commitments and you don’t feel like you’ve experienced the blessings of God by doing so, then we will give you back your tithe for those three months- no questions asked (as long as those three months of tithe were given to Fellowship Church). The reason we’re doing this is because tithing is the only issue in Scripture where God tells us to test Him His promises. If God doesn’t prove faithful, then He’s a liar- and we know that that is not true.
So join us on this three month challenge, and watch as God blesses Fellowship Church and your household in ways we can’t imagine.
